News

I’m excited to share with you that CDA 2030 has reached a turning point. We are growing, engaging and, changing to continue our mission of developing the people of Coeur d’Alene’s vision for the future. After eight years of tireless service, Nicole Kahler has stepped down as Executive Director. We are fortunate to be retaining the services of Jackie Maker, a local consultant with an extensive history of nonprofit development. As our Interim Executive Director, Jackie brings us a wealth of experience. The entire team is learning from her insight and unique skillset.

Fall for CDA 2030 is a time of renewal and recruitment. At the beginning of October, we will restart our search for a permanent Executive Director. In my final three months as Chair, we will seek new board members and smoothly transition to the incoming Chair, Maren Maier. Maren has been involved with CDA 2030 for four years and is up to the task of leading our team. Please join me in wishing Maren and Jackie the best in their new roles.

Our implementation committee assisted in conducting a lake management survey to ensure the community’s voice was heard. CDA 2030 is weighing in on housing affordability by developing housing profiles to illustrate who is finding it difficult to get housing in our beautiful city.

We are pleased to announce that we have a new website that is easier to navigate and update where you can learn more about these projects and others.

–Derek Miller, CDA 2030 Board Chair

The Executive Director is the key management leader of CDA 2030. They are responsible for overseeing the administration, programs, and strategic plan of the organization. Other key duties include fundraising, marketing, and community outreach. The position reports directly to the Board of Directors.

Please help spread the word. Someone you know might be our next leader.
